We are establishing raw cashew processing unit in Pakistan with maximum capacity & direct import raw cashew nut in shell from point of origin i.e African countries at own source for introducing new product line in field of dry fruit export from Pakistan that will increase export ratio in field of dry fruit export & will vistas of employment to the local people in production, processing and packing industries of Pakistan.

Cashew Introduction

The English name cashew is derived from the Portuguese name for the fruit of the cashew tree, ‘caju’; in the subcontinent it is known as ‘kaju’.

Native to equatorial South America, the Portuguese and Spanish seafarers are credited for introducing the cashew nut to the world during the 15th and 16th centuries. Today it is grown commercially in Brazil, Vietnam, India and many African countries. The tree is small, spreading and ever-green, growing to a height of 10-12 meters.

The cashew tree, now naturalized in tropics, is grown under varied climatic and soil conditions and thrives in tropical climate and coastal sandy land.

The kidney-shaped cashew nuts are actually seeds that grow, partly embedded, on the end of the large fleshy cashew-apple.
